Calling is an important part of Rueda - I found that very few people are prepared to call. Perhaps this is because the "calls" are in Spanish and most of the people I know speak English. To assist me and those of you new to Rueda I have put together this page of calls with the help of José. Click on the call and if you have speakers you should hear the pronunciation.

Hints on calling

- try to call on the 1 count that gives the rest of the circle heaps of time to get think about it

- wait for the circle to catch up - when things go wrong wait for the circle to get it together again

- try calling without having a break for guapea - an easy one is to call Y Otra

- use hand signals where possible - especially if it is hard to hear.
