HMV "Re-entrant" 202
The HMV Re-entrant range of phonographs are the English produced counterparts of theAmerican Victor "Orthophonic" range. The 202 in oak (the 203 was the Mahogany version) is the largest of the range. These larger re-entrants were made in much smaller quantities than their American brothers and are much rarer. Collectors tend to debate that the 202/203 re-entrants (or the EMG mk X) are possibly the best sounding acoustic phonographs ever produced. I was most pleased to add this machine to my collection. It is in EXCELLENT 100% original and untouched condition. The Serial number is 412 and there were likely not many more than 500 produced. This example is factory fitted with the "oil bath" spring motor.
