WORKING BEES

In order to continualy improve and maintain the facilities, the club holds regular Working Bees. As part of your membership to the CDPC you are required to attend 2 of the 4 Working Bees held during '09-'10. Working Bees are held on the 4th Saturday of any month that has 5 Saturdays. Start times for these Working Bees are 10:30 am. Failure to attend the required attendance WILL result in a moneytary fine.

The following provisional dates are when a Working Bee is to be held.
January 23 - 2010
May 22 - 2010
July 24 - 2010
October 23 - 2010

RDO REPORT FOR AUGUST 22-8-2009

A working bee was held on the 22nd August. 19 members attended which was a very good turnout. Work done included;

A new wall was installed behind the fire on R3 to prevent lost brass.

The container was de-rusted, treated, painted and the holes were covered with "Flashtac" More work is required as it was found difficult to stick the Flashtac to the new paint.

Several pepper poppers were modified

All guttering was cleaned

The kitchen was cleaned

The ranges were cleaned

The new portable baffle was modified and a Cooper Tunnel was constructed

The boot was fitted to R2 chimney

Numbers 8 and 9 were painted on R2 targets

The last of the bags were filled with wood chips

Grass mowed and weeds killed

The tree to the rear of the water tank was trimmed

The R3 shooting ports were primed and painted

A barbeque was provided

At another time a new portable baffle was made. The lawn mower door was repaired and various steel targets were repaired.

1(one) member signed in using only his signature and I have no idea who it was. If that member can see me I will make sure an attendance is recorded.

The condition of the container is not good with several large holes in the roof and the sides near the base. Whilst the current repairs will see it last a while longer it will need careful observation in the future. The addition of a false roof would assist and would make it cooler in the summer. Cost about $300 - $500.
