STEPS TO BECOMING A MEMBER AND ACQUIRING A HANDGUN

Are you going to visit the club? If so you will need to fill in the Visiting shooting indemnity form
To apply for membership please download and complete the CDPC Membership Application form then submit the application form to the Club Secretary.
Immediately
after joining the club you should apply to have your fingerprints taken by the
police. Phone this number between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday to make an
appointment. 1300 881 596 You will be able to
choose to have your prints taken in Melbourne or at one of several major
regional locations. NB. You do not need to get a certificate from the police
stating that your prints have been taken. It is enough that they are in the
police records.
From time to time you may need to update or change your club membership details. This includes the disposal and acquiring of firearms. Please download and complete the Membership Details form then submit the form to the club Secretary.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO RECORD YOUR ATTENDANCE AT ANY SHOOT ON ANY RANGE. Here
is an example of an attendance record form.
What do I do to join?
1. Complete the membership application form in duplicate.
2. Take the fingerprint request form to your local police
station and have your fingerprints taken. (The local police should retain the
top portion of the form and return the bottom section to you)
3. Obtain two passport photos of yourself and write your
name, in full, on the back of each photo.
4. Attend the committee of Management Meeting and present
yourself for membership. (Hand over the two forms, photographs and the
fingerprint form stub to the secretary).
5. The fees are $300 joining fee, plus an annual fee of $200, please check to see if pro-rata is applicable. These
fees are payable when you are accepted as a member, i.e. at the conclusion of
the monthly committee meeting.
6. Annual subscriptions of $200 are due at the Annual
General Meeting held in the second week of July.
