OK so these aren't strictly photos of Claudia but she was interested in seeing the P-76 leave. For anyone who doesn't know about it, the Leyland P-76 was one of the biggest dud cars ever built. Think Ford Edsel but worse. They were built between 1973 and 1974, and generally had huge body problems, as you can see from these photos. If you want to make someone laugh evilly, tell them your partner has a P-76. Trust me, I know. Fraser's family bought a Leyland P-76 Executive in 1973, new. After the rest of the McHargs moved away from Victoria, Fraser drove it until Melissa bought a new Mazda in 1993. Given the choice between new small car and old squeaky big car, the Mazda won every time. A little while after we moved in 1996, the P-76 went into the garage and was never moved again. Unregistered and unused, it sat there uselessly and was occasionally advertised through the local P-76 club. One day this year, a very nice man named Bob (who had been to see the car a couple of years ago) knocked on the door to see if we still had the car. A quick handshake and a slab of VB later, and the car was his. |

Tuesday December 11th was a red-letter day for Claudia, as we went to see The Wiggles in concert. |

Claudia, Holly and Louis at "Kinderdance" dancing classes. They all take it very seriously! |
|
The Kinderdance group performed "I'm just a little beetle" at the creche family Christmas party this year. The highlight was all the kids stomping around saying "Please don't squash me!" |

Claudia's best friend Hunter left creche this year when his family moved, but came to the Christmas party to visit. |

Fraser's work organised a kids' party at the East Melbourne Fire Station. I was stuck at re-enrolment at Uni, and arrived too late to get photos of the first part of the show, but Fraser and Claudia explained that they set a car on fire then put it out, and demonstrated the trucks with massive ladders. |

No rude jokes about holding firemen's poles thankyou. Well only if I am the one making them. |
