1) Plan Plan Plan
* What games do you like to play the most.
    This will determine which way you orientate the monitor and the controls you install

2) Buy a large cocktail table or build one from scratch
    So you don't suffer ventilation problems ( a major issue)
    Let's you install the controls you prefer in number and arrangement

3) Don't be afraid to ask for advice. I found fellow Mame users most helpful.
