The Motherboard was mounted directly on the side
of the cabinet as there was no room for a whole ATX case. As indicated above,
the Floppy/ CD drive are not a part of the unit, but can be connected if
required (Only if the Table lid is up). I find it much more convenient to
connect to my Main PC upstairs via a LAN if any file transfer/ maintenance
is required.
Extra fans were installed to help
combat the obvious ventilation problems. The table wasn't originally designed to
in case so many hot components. The largest fan installed I found was very
noisy, so I connected it to a temperature switch so it would only fire up if it
was really necessary.
The On/Off and reset buttons were mounted underneath the
table so they would not accidentally get
hit during game play. The HDD and power light were mounted on the player 1 side.
The original coin slot was wired up so that coin
insertion is required in order to start a game.
I sprayed the frame of the Dell monitor black so it would not
show up so much in the table.
A speaker is mounted on the left side of the table and the
amp is mounted inside with the volume control on the player 2 side.
