I have three sets of
Controls. Two sets on one side and one on the other. The reason for this is to enable me
to play games such as '1943' where simultaneous game play on the same side is
required. Most other games flip from one side to the other, players taking
control in turn (as I'm sure you know). Each set of controls consists of an 8
way joystick and three buttons. I'm not really into fighting games like Street
Fighter so the need to install a full set of 8 buttons did not exist.![]()
I am toying with the idea of adding another set of controls on the left hand side. This would enable me to play horizontal games and make the most of the screen area. It also would be cool for multiplayer games such as Hyper Olympics (everyone could sit around the table).
You are required to put an actual AUS 20c
piece
into the original cabinets coin mechanism to
play a game. The coins are of course recycled. I just like the idea of it (what
a nerd..ehh?) "I put a coin on the machine so It's my go next"

The keyboard and mouse are only connected for some maintenance requirements. A network connection to my normal PC I have found is a much less painful way to change system parameters.
