Shed Artworks   Shed Installation
“Skirt” was on show in Meta... at Ipswich Art Gallery - Nov 24 ’05 to Feb 19 ’06.
Curated by Chris Comer, Meta... drew together work by 4 artists who work with or against certain meta-narratives.
Alan Tulloch’s work in Meta... consisted of two projects under the title “...shed...” - both aiming to refigure ideas about masculinity.
“Skirt” was shown with 10 other works from over an 9 year period.
In an adjoining space was an installation that was made up of items borrowed from different men’s sheds.  These items were shown to explore ideas about ‘masculinity - yesterday, today, tomorrow’.  This installation project was assisted by Ipswich RADF, Ipswich Art Gallery and men in the community.
