Participation in Mildura “palimpsest #5” in April 2003 allowed the first materialisation of “Loom”.
Though the positions the moon and the morning star was accidental, it was seen that such ‘alignment’ was fitting
for the intended scope of the artwork.Each of the two plies of soil that came from a former vineyard was
enclosed by four vineyard trellis posts strung with strands of wire.In the morning light, the posts can
be seen but the wires are dissolved in light.The street sign in the
lower right betrays the urban setting in which “Loom” was installed.Click here to see “Loom” in stronger light. |
