There are four panels of text that are bent into the wire fences that are part of “Loom”, as developed at ‘palimpsest #5’.
Each text is a slight edit of dictionary definitions for the word ‘loom’.The selected texts come from a group of 10 such definitions and were chosen to fit with the idea of this “Loom” being installed in a suburban (former vineyard) setting.
The use of texts as part of the wiring reflects the path of the English” in containing and defining the land. |
